Meet Kim Kargbo: Walking with Ministry Leaders Toward Renewal

Kim Kargbo

From an early age, God wired me to be a reformer and an advocate for justice. (At 11 years old, I led a boycott against my boarding school’s terrifying haunted house - an early sign of my deep conviction to stand for the vulnerable! LOL) But as life’s challenges became more profound and ministry grew more complex, I found myself in a season of deep personal and spiritual wrestling. That journey led me to a renewed passion - caring for the souls of ministry leaders so they can continue the vital work of reconciling all things back to God in a broken world.

I founded Firm Formation to serve ministry leaders through resources and services that attend to their souls, equipping them to stay deeply rooted in Christ as they carry out their calling. My heart is to see leaders not just serve but flourish - firmly established in spiritual practices that sustain their walk with God, bring life and joy to their work, and advance God’s Kingdom for His glory.

My Journey & Experience

Missions has been my world since childhood - I’ve lived it, breathed it, and walked it out in real time. These experiences shape my ministry and calling today:

Cross-Cultural Ministry: A lifetime of serving across cultural boundaries, navigating both the joys and struggles of international missions.

Family & Identity: Living as part of a transracial and transcultural family, both in my upbringing and my own family today, as well as both being and raising TCKs (Third Culture Kids) has shaped my understanding of reconciliation and belonging, particularly concerning race and individual identity.

Social Justice & Advocacy: Engaging in poverty alleviation, disability advocacy, and justice initiatives that reflect God’s heart for the marginalized.

Missional Outreach: Carrying the Good News to the lost while discipling believers in sustainable, soul-nurturing ways.

I believe lasting ministry impact begins with leaders who are deeply rooted in Christ. My desire is to come alongside those serving on the frontlines - offering encouragement, resources, and practices that renew their souls, strengthen their mission, and draw them deeper into intimacy with God - so that God will be worshipped and glorified around the world.

If you are a ministry leader longing for renewal, greater spiritual depth, and a sustainable way to serve, I’d love to journey with you.

Rest is found in offering up our work as worship.
